Vision statement

We describe the vision of our church in one sentence:

“Connecting people with God

         within authentic community

                  where all are welcome.”

This vision is built on The Great Commission and The Great Commandment

The Great Commission:

“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”  Matt. 28:19-20

This is “Connecting people with God”

 The Great Commandment:

“Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself.  All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.’”  Matt. 22:36-40

This is “within authentic community”

After giving the great commandment Jesus was asked “who is my neighbour?”

Jesus responded with the parable of The Good Samaritan Luke 10:30-37

This is “where all are welcome.”

All the values and activities of our church are shaped by this vision statement.
