Who are we?
Tony came to Newmarket in 2007 following God’s call to lead NCC.  His vision is for a church that values community within and without, where each can find their place, connecting with God and each other.  Tony is passionate about a church that is transformed by the love of God and which shares that love with the world in practical ways.  Where the world sees a problem Tony believe Christians should see opportunities to help and lives this out through his work with Town Pastors.

Jan joined NCC along with husband Tony in 2007. Having raised their two daughters and fostered their nephew, Jan now puts her biology degree to use working as a Lab Technician and Science HLTA at a school in Royston. Jan brings many years of experience and wisdom to our children’s ministry, and is also part of our worship team. Jan is a keen knitter. Her more unusual creations include microbes and knitted digestive systems!

Helen has lived in Newmarket for over 30 years and has been at NCC since it was first planted out from Isleham Baptist Church. She is married to Brian, with two teenagers and a very friendly dog. After initially qualifying as a chartered accountant, Helen then gained a teaching degree and she now combines the two by working as a Finance Trainer at Cambridge University. Helen is part of our preaching team, and runs our CAP money course. Her hobbies include photography and road cycling (which she likes to combine with coffee and cake)

A member of NCC since 2009, Clare works part-time as a teacher in a local primary school. She and husband Chris have two teenage children, one rabbit, and an assortment of chickens. In church, Clare’s passion is for preaching and teaching from the Bible, both with adults and in our children’s and youth activities.
